Almost every wedding band shop sells ready-made pieces and, at most, engraves them. We make them: every band comes out of our Barcelona workshop after we agree the model with you. This page explains what the real difference is, and what can actually be personalised.
Buying ready-made or making to measure
| A shop that resells | Our own workshop | |
|---|---|---|
| Where the piece comes from | A supplier’s stock | Made once your order is confirmed |
| Sizes | Whatever is in stock | 14 to 30, quarter and half sizes |
| Width and finish | Fixed per model | You choose: polished, satin or sandblasted |
| Design changes | Rarely accepted | Adapted if they can be made |
| Engraving | An add-on service | Included, done here |
| Who you talk to | Customer service | The person making your ring |
What can genuinely be personalised
- Width and profile. From slim bands to wide ones, with a comfort-fit interior so it isn’t uncomfortable all day.
- Finish. Mirror polish, satin (matte) or sandblasted. Combinations too: matte with a polished line, for example.
- The setting. No stone, zirconia or a diamond, in different positions.
- Inside engraving. Names, the date, coordinates, a symbol, or someone’s handwriting. Included in the order.
- The exact size. Large sizes and quarter-size adjustments included, because we don’t depend on stock.
How the process works
You write to us with an idea — or without one — and we talk: what it’s for, the style you like, whether there’s a budget to respect. We’ll tell you frankly what works well in steel and what doesn’t. Once the design is clear, we take the sizes (at the workshop, or guiding you remotely) and start making it. We give you a specific date and stay available until the piece is in your hands.
We don’t work with stock or automated shipping: every order goes through the bench.
Why steel and not gold
Because for a piece worn every day, 316L stainless steel wins on the practical side: antiallergic, doesn’t rust, scratches less, and costs a fraction. With the same budget you can have a better design, a better stone and engraving, instead of paying for the metal.
Frequently asked questions
Do you make the bands yourselves or buy them ready-made?
We make them ourselves. We have our own workshop in Barcelona (Sants-Montjuïc) and every band is produced by hand to order, after confirming the design with you. We don’t resell catalogue pieces.
What’s the difference from a shop that only engraves?
We can change the piece, not just mark it: width, profile, finish, setting and exact size. When the jewellery is made from scratch, personalisation is real rather than an add-on.
Can I bring my own design or a photo?
Yes, it’s the most common way. We start from your idea, photo or sketch and adapt it to what can be made well in steel. We’ll be clear about what’s feasible.
Do you make bands in large sizes?
Yes, sizes 14 to 30, plus quarter and half sizes. Because we make to order we don’t depend on stock — which is the usual reason other shops don’t carry them.
How long does a made-to-measure band take?
It depends on the model and the engraving. We give you a specific date when you place the order; production starts once the design is confirmed.
Is it more expensive than buying ready-made?
Not necessarily. Because we work in steel and without middlemen, our handmade pieces sit at online-shop prices: most between €39 and €95, engraving included and free shipping within Spain.
Do you only serve Barcelona?
The workshop is in Barcelona and visits are by appointment, but we work with customers across Spain by 30-minute video consultation and ship free.
