Stainless steel rings

We make stainless steel rings by hand in our Barcelona workshop, one at a time and to order. Antiallergic 316L surgical steel, every size, and personalised engraving included.

What 316L stainless steel is (and why we use it)

Not all steels are the same. We work with 316L stainless steel, also known as surgical steel: the same grade used in medical instruments and implants, precisely because it resists corrosion and tolerates prolonged contact with skin.

In practice, for a ring you wear every day, that means three things: it doesn’t rust, it doesn’t lose its shine with normal wear, and it doesn’t stain or irritate your skin.

Is stainless steel antiallergic?

Yes. 316L is low in released nickel, which is why it is considered suitable for sensitive skin and is the usual alternative for anyone who has reacted to costume jewellery or other alloys. If you’ve had itching, redness or greenish marks with previous rings, surgical steel usually solves the problem.

Steel, gold or silver: what really changes

  • Price. A steel ring costs a fraction of the same design in gold. You can put the budget into the stone, the engraving, or simply save it.
  • Hardness. Steel scratches less than gold or silver: it stands up better to manual work and daily life.
  • Upkeep. Silver tarnishes and needs cleaning; stainless steel doesn’t. Water and mild soap is enough.
  • Weight and feel. Steel has a firm weight, similar to white gold, with a slightly cooler grey tone.

That’s why steel has become such a common choice for wedding bands and engagement rings: the same look with more resistance, without the cost of a precious metal.

Made by hand, not bought ready-made

This is the main difference from most online shops: we don’t resell catalogue pieces. Every ring is made in our Barcelona workshop after you confirm the model, so we can adjust whatever you need:

  • Finish: mirror polish, satin (matte) or sandblasted.
  • Width and profile: from slim rings to wide bands, with a comfort-fit interior.
  • Setting: no stone, cubic zirconia, or a diamond.
  • Inside engraving: names, a date, coordinates or a symbol.

We’ve been doing this for over twenty years and we work on a small scale, dealing with you directly: you write to us, we decide the details together, and we start making it.

Every size, including large ones

Because we make the rings ourselves, we don’t depend on a stock of sizes. We make sizes 14 to 30 (Spanish sizing), plus quarter and half sizes when a fine adjustment is needed. If you don’t know your size, we’ll explain how to measure it at home, or we’ll take it at the workshop.

Care: practically none

Water and mild soap, then dry with a soft cloth. No special products or cleaning baths. It’s worth taking it off to lift weights or work with tools — not for the metal’s sake, but to avoid knocks — and storing it away from pieces that could scratch it.

Frequently asked questions

Can stainless steel rings be worn every day?

Yes, that’s exactly their strength. 316L steel doesn’t rust or lose its shine with normal wear, it handles water, and it scratches less than gold or silver. It’s the metal we recommend to anyone who never takes their ring off.

Is stainless steel antiallergic?

Yes. We use 316L surgical steel, low in released nickel and suitable for sensitive skin. It’s the usual alternative for anyone who has reacted to other alloys.

Can it be engraved inside?

Yes, and personalised inside engraving is included with every order: names, a date, coordinates or a symbol.

Do you make large sizes?

We make sizes 14 to 30, plus quarter and half sizes. Since every ring is made to order, we don’t depend on stock.

How much does a stainless steel ring cost?

Our steel rings start at around €35 and most sit between €39 and €95, depending on width, finish and whether they carry zirconia or a diamond. Shipping within Spain is free.

How long will it take?

Each piece is made by hand once the design is confirmed, so the timing depends on the model and the engraving. We give you a specific date when you place the order.

Can steel be resized later?

Steel allows very little resizing, which is why we insist on getting the size right from the start: we help you measure before we make it.
